Marriage
Here we have two
large
birds happily
intertwined.
Showing their
strong bond
for
each other in their
embrace.
Journeys
The design on this
piece symbolises for
me all the different
paths which arise
throughout a persons
lifetime each path takes
you on a different but
interesting journey..
Christening Crosses
These Christening Crosses came
about from a commission to place
the name of a new born baby on
them. It grew from there to a careful
selection of popular Gaelic words.
Each cross is blessed here in Ireland.
Newgrange The now famous Tri-Spiral design
carved on this Entrance Stone at
Newgrange is around 4,000 years
old, it has held its secrets well
even after all these years. It is
believed to be connected to the
afterlife and beyond.
The Carndonagh
The oldest free
standing cross in
Ireland (7th Century
AD), it stands near
the top of Donegal in
the village where it
takes its name.
Simplistic in its
profile, the design is
for me where its true
beauty lies.
Ogham Stones Ogham is the oldest form of writing
in Ireland, using a number of straight
lines grouped together words can be
formed. These lines were carved
onto standing stones, they are still
visible today.
